Niclas

Niclas is the Chief Technology Officer of Sinovoltaics Group, where he leads the development of SELMA, the company’s AI-based EL image analysis software. A CQI/IRCA-registered Associate Auditor and solar PV module and BOS quality specialist with 10+ years of on-the-ground experience across factories in Asia, he has lived and worked in Mainland China, Taiwan, India, and Iran, and has conducted audits and quality assurance work at 100+ PV and BESS manufacturing facilities throughout East and Southeast Asia.

Previously, Niclas worked at Grameen Shakti in Dhaka on the implementation methodologies and maintenance of PV off-grid systems in rural Bangladesh, and at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) ITPO in Beijing on energy-efficiency standards projects, seconded to the China National Institute of Standardization (CNIS). He is fluent in German, English, Spanish, and Mandarin Chinese, and also speaks and reads Thai, Persian, and conversational Cantonese.
