Overview Job Description:

Sinovoltaics Group is a Dutch-German managed quality assurance, product engineering, and technical compliance consulting firm specialized in de-risking of solar photovoltaic assets and investments worldwide. We audited over 300 factories, have a track record above 20 GW, and are serving 50+ countries worldwide. At this moment, Sinovoltaics is rapidly evolving and we are well on our way to achieving our BHAG set for 2030: 'completed 100GW of high performing PV & BESS projects'. We cannot do this alone and we need your expertise in the German market!

As our next International Sales Manager, you will develop Sinovoltaics business in Germany and be responsible for expanding our customer portfolio. Our clients are involved in the development of large-scale solar power and energy storage projects, including PV project developers, IPPs, Utilities, EPCs, and financiers. This means that you don’t need to live in Germany and will regularly travel to Germany to meet potential clients. It is therefore important that you have a flexible, entrepreneurial, and driven personality with a go-getting mentality.


Your Job Described

  • You are responsible for our success in Germany by meticulously preparing and building your sales pipeline. Identify high-potential targets and nurture them towards conversion while providing accurate forecasts to drive strategic decision-making;
  • Hit and exceed sales targets. Prioritize your sales activities and engagements with prospects and clients to align seamlessly with our business aims and revenue objectives;
  • Be the trusted advisor to your clients and prospects when it comes to best practices regarding Quality Control and Traceability/ESG topics in the solar and energy storage industry;
  • Keep everyone in the loop with a variety of insightful status reports. From activity updates to closing statistics and growth trajectories against targets, your reports will be crucial in guiding our collective efforts towards success;
  • You maintain meticulous records of all client interactions in our CRM software. Keeping these records up-to-date ensures a streamlined approach to managing client relationships and optimizing future engagements;
  • Elevate our presence in the German market by creating compelling visibility among potential customers. Your efforts will contribute directly to achieving our ambitious sales targets and solidifying our position as a leader in the solar energy industry;
  • Stay ahead of the curve by monitoring and reporting on market trends and intelligence. Your insights will inform our strategies and keep us agile in responding to evolving market dynamics;
  • As a valued member of our team, you'll collaborate closely with colleagues, including Account Managers and Project Managers. Together, we'll leverage our collective expertise to drive impactful results and foster a culture of success;
  • You'll have the opportunity to work alongside industry leaders in the solar energy/BESS sector, forging invaluable partnerships and driving mutual growth.

Your Profile

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in business development and/or sales management within the solar energy industry is required. Additional experience in battery energy storage is highly desirable;
  • You must be willing to travel regularly to Germany to engage with clients and partners, strengthen relationships, and drive business growth;
  • As the sole representative in Germany, you should thrive in an autonomous role and demonstrate a high level of self-motivation, responsibility, and initiative;
  • We are looking for someone with a proactive approach and a strong sense of ownership, capable of identifying opportunities and driving growth with an entrepreneurial spirit;
  • You must possess a commercial mindset, with a proven ability to negotiate and secure the best deals for our company;
  • A strong command of spoken and written English and German is essential for effective communication within our global team and the German market;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills are crucial, particularly for engaging with C-level executives and decision-makers;
  • You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be able to maintain composure and effectiveness even in high-pressure situations;
  • A strong customer service attitude coupled with problem-solving skills is key to building lasting relationships and addressing client needs effectively;
  • A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or other relevant fields from a reputable European university is required.
