What the program includes
An annual PV plant health inspection combines 100% drone IR thermography, field EL sampling, IV curve and electrical safety checks into one yearly campaign and report - detecting degradation, hidden defects and warranty risks before they compound into revenue loss.
Every year, per site:
- 100% drone IR thermography of the plant, flown and reported to IEC TS 62446-3
- Field EL sampling analysed with SELMA - trended against factory and prior-year images per serial number
- IV curve, visual and electrical safety checks on statistically selected strings
- Annual Plant Health Report - one document: findings, trends, severity ranking, recommended actions
- Degradation and warranty-risk early-warning flags - issues surfaced while claims are still possible
Deliverables: annual Plant Health Report with year-on-year trend, defect maps, prioritised action list, claim-risk register.
Why annual - and why trended
A single inspection is a snapshot. Degradation is a movie.
Microcrack growth, PID onset, connector aging and soiling patterns develop over years. Any inspector can tell you what your plant looks like today; the questions that protect your revenue are directional: Is it getting worse? How fast? Which strings first? Will it breach a warranty threshold before the warranty expires?
Those questions can only be answered against a baseline.
