One program. Full plant visibility, every year.

A yearly inspection subscription that bundles drone thermography, field EL and electrical checks into one annual Plant Health Report - trended against the factory EL baseline of your own modules. Early warning on degradation, defects and warranty issues, year after year.

What the program includes

An annual PV plant health inspection combines 100% drone IR thermography, field EL sampling, IV curve and electrical safety checks into one yearly campaign and report - detecting degradation, hidden defects and warranty risks before they compound into revenue loss.

Every year, per site:

  • 100% drone IR thermography of the plant, flown and reported to IEC TS 62446-3
  • Field EL sampling analysed with SELMA - trended against factory and prior-year images per serial number
  • IV curve, visual and electrical safety checks on statistically selected strings
  • Annual Plant Health Report - one document: findings, trends, severity ranking, recommended actions
  • Degradation and warranty-risk early-warning flags - issues surfaced while claims are still possible

Deliverables: annual Plant Health Report with year-on-year trend, defect maps, prioritised action list, claim-risk register.

Why annual - and why trended

A single inspection is a snapshot. Degradation is a movie.

Microcrack growth, PID onset, connector aging and soiling patterns develop over years. Any inspector can tell you what your plant looks like today; the questions that protect your revenue are directional: Is it getting worse? How fast? Which strings first? Will it breach a warranty threshold before the warranty expires?

Those questions can only be answered against a baseline. Sinovoltaics trends every annual campaign against the previous years - and, for factory-inspected assets, against the modules’ original factory EL fingerprints. The result is a per-serial-number health history that turns maintenance planning, warranty management and budget forecasting from guesswork into scheduling.

What competitors sell instead

Every major inspection provider offers the pieces: a thermography flight here, an EL campaign there, an electrical audit when something breaks. Each is quoted, mobilised and reported separately - and none of them trends against a factory baseline.

The Annual Plant Health Program packages the pieces into one campaign, one report and one predictable annual budget line per MWp. One mobilisation instead of three. One integrated dataset instead of disconnected PDFs.

When this program fits

  • Operating utility-scale plants past their first year of operation
  • Fleets approaching EPC (year 2) or product warranty milestones - pair with End-of-Warranty Campaigns
  • Assets whose modules Sinovoltaics inspected at the factory (strongest value: full factory-to-field trending)
  • Portfolios wanting one framework agreement across sites and countries

Engagement model

Multi-year subscription, priced per MWp per year. Fleet framework agreements cover multiple sites with one contract, one campaign calendar and consolidated fleet reporting.

Frequently asked questions

  • How is this different from my O&M contractor’s inspections? Your O&M provider inspects what it maintains - and reports on its own workmanship. The program is independent: we hold no O&M contract, so findings about installation quality, maintenance standards or warranty claims carry no conflict of interest.
  • Does the annual campaign interrupt production? Minimally. Thermography flies during normal operation; EL work runs at night; electrical checks are sequenced string by string. No plant-level shutdown is needed.
  • What if year one finds serious problems? Then the program has paid for itself early. Findings feed directly into Warranty Claim Management or Root Cause Analysis - with claim-ready evidence already in hand.

  • Can rooftop or floating PV be included? Yes. Methods are adapted per site type; the program structure and reporting stay identical across a mixed fleet.
  • What does it cost? Per MWp per year, degressive with fleet size and multi-year terms. Request fleet pricing.
