The risk does not end at energisation
- Capacity fade. Degradation runs rack by rack, not fleet-average. Without independent measurement, warranty curves are just the vendor’s promise.
- Safety exposure. Publicises BESS fires have put every operating site under insurer and financier scrutiny. Documented, independent inspection is now expected - not optional.
- Vendor data opacity. The integrator’s own reporting decides what you see. Independent verification needs independent data access, secured in your contract, exercised in the field.
- Warranty deadlines. Performance guarantees expire and augmentation decisions loom. Both need measured baselines, not models.

The FAT baseline + BESSecure: one data chain
1. Factory (FAT). 100% pack testing during factory acceptance: capacity, round-trip efficiency, thermal and voltage signatures recorded per rack.
2. SAT. The baseline is re-captured at energisation, transport and installation damage verified before take-over.
3. Every year. BESSecure analyses 100% of racks from operational data. No new tests, no hardware, no downtime.
4. Warranty. Delivered capacity and RTE measured against contract curves - annually, not reactively.
5. Augmentation. Fade projections built from your own fleet data, not vendor models.
Measured, not modelled. Analytics platforms estimate state of health from models. DNV-style assessments extrapolate from lab data. - SAT Witnessing & Commissioning QA → Independent witnessing of site acceptance tests, with a BESSecure baseline captured at energisation. Disputes resolved before take-over, not in year three.
- BESSecure Portfolio Program → A multi-year program: annual 100% rack-level capacity, RTE, temperature and voltage analysis from operational data - with aging alerts, augmentation triggers and warranty-compliance flags.
- Annual Site Health & Safety Inspection → Yearly on-site inspection - racks, connections, HVAC, fire suppression, BMS - combined with the BESSecure data review into one annual asset report your insurer will ask for.
- Warranty Validation & Claims → Annual validation of delivered capacity and RTE against warranty curves, with claim documentation and manufacturer negotiation when they’re breached.
Secure your data rights before you sign
Independent verification is only possible if your contract guarantees raw-data access and independent test rights. Sinovoltaics contracts follow the ESCA framework: SAT appendices, data-access clauses and acceptance criteria written into procurement before the first container ships.
