Understanding the Site Assessment and Certification Process:
- Site Assessment: Sinovoltaics Assessors visit sites and use the approved SSI audit methodology, including unsupervised worker interviews, site walkthroughs, and documentation reviews.
- Major Non-Conformance: Sites with major non-conformances, such as evidence of forced labor conditions, cannot qualify for SSI certification.
- Minor Non-Conformance: Minor non-conformances, like a partially obscured fire exit sign, are permitted to a certain extent. However, if minor issues are not addressed in subsequent assessments, they can become major non-conformances
- Certification Grades: Sites are graded as Bronze, Silver, or Gold, with Gold being the highest performance level.
