A multi-year program: every year, BESSecure analyses 100% of your battery racks from operational data - no new tests, no hardware, no downtime - and flags the racks that need attention before they cost availability, revenue or safety.

What it is?
The BESSecure Portfolio Program is an annual, data-based verification of BESS performance: rack-level capacity, round-trip efficiency, temperature and voltage behaviour analysed from operational data and compared against factory (FAT) baselines - independently of the manufacturer, integrator and O&M provider.

Every year, for every rack in your portfolio:

  • Capacity and round-trip-efficiency analysis vs your warranty curves
  • Temperature and voltage signature comparison vs the FAT/SAT fingerprint
  • Aging-anomaly alerts: the racks degrading faster than their siblings
  • Augmentation triggers: when the data says capacity planning should start
  • Warranty-compliance flags: shortfalls documented while claims are still open


Deliverables: annual portfolio report with rack-level drill-down, alert notifications, and year-round access to the BESSecure online platform.

Measured, not modelled
There are three ways to answer “how healthy is my battery portfolio?”:
1. Trust the vendor’s reporting. The party with the warranty obligation controls the data narrative.
2. Model it. Analytics platforms estimate state of health (SOH) from generic degradation models - useful, but an estimate, and rarely independent.
3. Measure it. BESSecure computes actual capacity, RTE and thermal behaviour per rack from your system’s own operational data - and where Sinovoltaics performed the FAT, compares each rack against its factory fingerprint.

Only the third answer survives a warranty negotiation.

  • Warranty milestones or performance guarantees approach and you need evidence, not estimates
  • Availability is dropping and the integrator’s reports don’t explain why

Zero operational impact
BESSecure needs no site visit, no test cycles and no installed hardware. It works from the data your system already produces - historian exports or direct data access, secured contractually via ESCA-aligned data clauses. Analysis runs off-site; your system keeps earning.

Strongest value where Sinovoltaics holds your FAT baseline - but any operating portfolio can onboard: your first BESSecure year becomes the baseline every following year is trended against.

Frequently asked questions

  • How is this different from a battery analytics platform? Analytics platforms are monitoring tools - continuous, model-based, and usually procured by the operator. BESSecure is an independent annual verification: measured rack-level results, compared against factory baselines, delivered by an inspection company with no stake in the outcome. Many clients run both.

  • Do you need cell-level data? Rack-level operational data (voltages, currents, temperatures, cycles) is sufficient for the standard program. Deeper granularity improves anomaly localisation where available.




  • What if we don’t have a FAT baseline? Year one of the program establishes your baseline. Every subsequent year trends against it. The earlier you start, the more claim-relevant history you own.



  • Can BESSecure results support a warranty claim? Yes - that is one of its main uses. Shortfalls versus warranty curves are documented in claim-ready form; the Warranty Validation & Claims service takes it from evidence to settlement.
