Ensuring Structural Integrity, Safety, and Optimal Performance

Our quality engineering team conducts comprehensive solar quality control inspections and assessments of solar trackers and mounting structures, ensuring they meet the highest industry standards, maintain structural integrity, and perform efficiently under diverse environmental conditions. These inspections play a critical role in verifying that the system can withstand operational stresses, environmental exposure, and long-term functionality without compromising safety, energy yield, or compliance.

Key Inspection Areas:
1. Structural Compliance & Integrity

  • Mechanical Strength Assessment – Verifying that the tracker frame, mounting rails, actuators, and support structures conform to engineering specifications.
  • Load-Bearing Verification – Evaluating the system’s ability to withstand wind, snow, and seismic loads based on environmental conditions.
  • Foundation & Anchoring Inspection – Checking the stability and security of the ground-mount or rooftop anchoring system.
  • Component Fastening & Torque Verification – Ensuring all bolts, welds, and mechanical joints meet prescribed torque levels for optimal structural safety.

2. Corrosion Resistance & Weather Durability

  • Material & Coating Evaluation – Assessing the protective coatings, galvanization, and paint quality to prevent premature wear due to exposure to moisture, UV radiation, and chemicals.
  • Rust & Corrosion Detection – Identifying early signs of corrosion on metal components, fasteners, and structural joints to prevent long-term degradation.
  • Weathering Resistance – Evaluating the tracker’s resistance to extreme temperatures, humidity, and environmental stressors over its lifespan.

3. Tracker Alignment & Motion Performance

  • Precision & Range Testing – Ensuring accurate tracking motion, range of movement, and responsiveness of actuators and drive systems.
  • Sun Tracking Calibration – Verifying that the tracker follows the sun accurately to optimize energy yield.
  • Noise & Vibration Assessment – Checking for unusual noises, excessive friction, or mechanical resistance that could indicate potential faults in actuators, gears, or motors.

4. Wind & Snow Load Verification

  • Extreme Weather Resistance Testing – During our inspection of PV racking systems, we are evaluate the system’s ability to endure high wind speeds, heavy snowfall, and other extreme weather conditions.
  • Structural Stress Analysis – Conducting load calculations to ensure that wind-induced stresses, deflections, and vibrations remain within safe operating limits.

5. Electrical Safety & Grounding Compliance

  • Electrical System Inspection – Assessing the condition of wiring, junction boxes, and electrical connections to prevent failures or safety hazards.
  • Proper Grounding & Bonding – Ensuring that all grounding points comply with electrical safety regulations to prevent electrical faults.
  • Sensor & Control System Check – Verifying the functionality of solar sensors, communication systems, and automatic control units for seamless tracking operation.

6. Performance Monitoring & Data Analysis

  • Energy Production Review – Analyzing inverter data, power output trends, and efficiency metrics to identify performance deviations.
  • Tracking Accuracy Verification – Comparing real-time tracking angles and movement precision against expected values to detect misalignment.
  • Historical Performance Trends – Reviewing past performance logs to detect patterns of degradation or irregularities.

Comprehensive Reporting & Compliance Standards

Following every inspection, you will receive a detailed witnessing report of the Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI), including all PV component inspection findings, test results, and recommendations. The sampling levels will adhere to ISO 2859-1:1999, G-1 per container, ensuring rigorous quality verification for all tracker/mounting components within the Bill of Materials (BOM).

By conducting these in-depth inspections, we ensure that your solar tracker and mounting structures meet stringent solar PV quality control standards, industry requirements, maximize energy output, and deliver long-term operational reliability.
